Hi, I’m Sydney.

I'm a Labor & Delivery & Mother-Baby RN, BSN, and OB nurse educator (currently finishing my MSN in Nursing Education, graduating December 2026), a 200-hour certified yoga teacher, and the host of The Regulated Life with Sydney podcast — but for a long time, none of those titles came with a manual for taking care of myself.

I spent years as the person who said yes to everything. New project? I'm in. Someone needs help? I've got it. I'm multi-passionate, and for a long time I wore that like a badge of honor — until I hit a wall. Not a dramatic breakdown, just... I stopped. I quit almost everything at once, because I had nothing left to give.

That crash sent me down the path of understanding what was actually happening in my body — my nervous system, not my character. And it taught me something I now build my entire life and work around: in order to be of service to others, whether that's my patients, my students, or the people who listen to this show, I have to take care of myself first. Not eventually. First.

These days, I bring that same philosophy into everything I do — from the labor and delivery unit, to the yoga mat, to this podcast, where I talk openly about burnout, nervous system regulation, and building a life that's sustainable instead of just impressive-looking.

I'm so glad you're here. Whether you found me through my work in maternal health, on the mat, or through the show, I hope this becomes a place where you feel a little more permission to slow down.
